Biography
Mr. Khalid Gama is a Board Member for Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He is a certified Board Member, CEO, Investment Management Expert, and Corporate Governance Specialist, with a remarkable track record of over 30 years of professional working experience across various industries. His expertise spans the investment management industry, real estate development, and corporate and investment banking, with a specific focus on Shariah-compliant practices.
Throughout his career, Mr. Khalid has held leadership positions where he has successfully developed and implemented robust corporate strategies and governance frameworks. He possesses extensive industry knowledge, particularly in the areas of AWQAF (endowment) management and investing, as well as the Hajj and Umrah industry. His deep understanding of the economic drivers for both holy cities, Makkah and Madinah, has played a pivotal role in his decision-making processes.
Mr. Khalid’s contributions to corporate boards and committees have been highly valued. He actively engages in memberships on executive, audit and risk, and nomination and compensation committees, where he applies best practices to drive organizational excellence.
In terms of qualifications, Mr. Khalid has undergone prestigious leadership development programs, including the Harvard Business School Leadership Development Series in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2002. He has also obtained certificates from both Hawkamah and the Board Directors Institute (BDI) for corporate governance and board of director development.
Mr. Khalid holds a Bachelor degree in Business and Finance from King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia.
